Probation - Athletics
GPA from previous quarter: A student-athlete will be put on probation if his/her Grade Point Average (GPA) from the previous quarter in core subjects (English, foreign language, history, math, science) is below 2.5 with no "F" grades in any of those subjects.
GPA from current quarter: A student-athlete will be put on probation if his/her Grade Point Average (GPA) in core curriculum subjects (English, foreign language, history, math, science) is below 2.5 with no "F" grades in any of those subjects. The core curriculum GPA will be calculated twice during the quarter at the time that progress reports are completed.
The terms of the probation are as follows:
a. Students are not to participate in games or practice until the core curriculum GPA is again calculated at the next progress reporting date. If the student's GPA is 2.5 or greater at the next progress report or report card period (and has no "Fs" in a core subject at the end of a report card period), the student may resume participation in games or practices as long as the GPA remains 2.50 or greater.
b. Any student who demonstrates a pattern of incomplete or missing classroom/homework assignments in core classes as indicated on progress reports will have his/her eligibility reviewed and possibly revoked by the administration.
