This course includes the history of economic analysis from the Greeks and Romans to modern times, giving attention to changing thought about the enduring questions of efficiency and justice. Emphasis on the great debates over trade, price controls, socialism and the limits of growth, as reflected in works from Plato to Marx, Keynes and Kuznets.GEO 101 - Geography (Grade 9)
This course is designed to provide an understanding of the distribution and characteristics of major world cultures, dynamics of human migration and cultural diffusion. Includes a unit on basic physical geography skills and map reading. In the second unit, students consider the regional mosaic of the world. Fundamentals of American and California government and political philosophy. Emphasis is given to current events and the development of civic literacy. Prepares students to vote, to reflect on the responsibilities of citizenship, and to participate in community activities.HIS 101 - World Cultures (Grade 9)
This course is designed to address a multicultural view of the world. Students gain an appreciation of all cultures that make up the current world community. Multiple views on major global issues are presented along with the historical background of the issue.
